For this school project I was to create a fictitious magazine and then design a magazine layout for it. The magazine is called Mangajin. It is a monthly magazine that covers various elements of the anime, manga, and cosplay category. Every monthly magazine will have a poll page, a how to draw an anime character page, a featured article/spread, an ad that relates to the magazine, and other pages such as an image gallery or a drawing contest page. 

To stand out from other magazines that covers the same topic many of its images are hand drawn. The requirements were to create a front cover, table of contents page, an ad section, main feature spread, two other inside articles/spreads, and a back cover. The name “Mangajin” is a cross cultural play on words as it sounds like “magazine” in English but can translate in Japanese to “graphic novel person.”
